Hourly to Salary Calculator

Comparing a job offer or sizing up a raise? Convert any hourly wage into the equivalent annual, monthly, biweekly, and weekly pay so you can compare roles on the same footing.

Use 52 for paid vacation, or fewer for unpaid time off.

Annual salary$58,240
Monthly$4,853.33
Every two weeks$2,240.00
Weekly$1,120.00

How this calculator works

The annual figure is a direct multiplication:

annual = hourly × hours per week × weeks per year

From there, monthly is the annual divided by 12, biweekly is divided by 26 (the number of two-week pay periods in a year), and weekly is simply your hourly rate times hours worked per week.

Why “weeks per year” matters

A salaried role typically pays across all 52 weeks including paid time off. If you’re hourly with unpaid weeks off, lower this number to reflect what you’ll actually earn. The gap between 52 and, say, 48 weeks can be thousands of dollars a year.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert $X/hour to a yearly salary quickly?
The common shortcut for full-time work (40 hrs/week, 52 weeks) is to multiply the hourly rate by 2,080. So $28/hour ≈ $58,240 per year. This calculator lets you adjust hours and weeks for a precise figure.
Does this account for taxes?
No — these are gross (pre-tax) figures. To see what actually lands in your bank account, use the take-home pay calculator, which subtracts federal tax, FICA, and state tax.
What about overtime?
This assumes a consistent weekly schedule at one rate. If you regularly work overtime at a higher rate, calculate that portion separately and add it to the base.
